Wayne Pocock

I am a seasoned commercial litigator with extensive experience in all facets of litigation, including trials, motions, and arbitrations. I represent national and multinational corporations, as well as high-net-worth individuals, in high-stakes litigation across diverse industries. I have significant experience in complex transactions and disputes, with a particular focus on corporate and commercial transactions, contract disputes, banking, compliance and regulatory law, construction law, real estate disputes, tax and customs law (objection, appeal, tax court), bankruptcy and insolvency law, government procurement reviews, and restraint of trade, among other areas of expertise.

I frequently appeared in all major High Courts in South Africa, including the Supreme Court of Appeal and the Constitutional Court. I also have experience in specialized forums such as the Tax Court, Valuation Appeal Board, Municipal Bids Appeal Court, Financial Intelligence Centre, Special Tribunal of the Special Investigations Unit, and the Municipal Bids Appeal Tribunal. In addition, I was actively involved in private arbitrations administered by the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa (AFSA) and the Association of Arbitrators (Southern Africa) NPC. I regularly appeared in the High Courts of Botswana as well.
