Monster Energy is set to acquire Bang Energy after a bankruptcy judge granted approval. Bang Energy filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2022, following lawsuit wherein a jury awarded Monster Energy $293 million dollars on grounds that Bang Energy was engaging in false advertising and misconduct. The acquisition of Monster Energy’s former rival is estimated to save around 300 jobs.
